The mission of Sixth Street's Student Ministry is to equip students and their families to glorify God by coming alongside parents to make lasting and multiplying disciples. We do this in three ways:

>>>Constant Discipleship

Constant discipleship is wired into the regular rhythms of our student ministry. The goal of these rhythms is to make disciples by constantly feeding on God's word and linking students not only into each other's lives, but also into other generations within our church.

Sunday School: Students and leaders meet as a combined group to eat breakfast and study God's word through teaching and discussion. (Sunday AM | 8:45-9:45)

CONNECTgroups: Girls and guys meet in separate homes to eat, encourage, challenge, and grow in Christ together. These groups also allow students to learn from and be mentored by parents and adults of various ages in our church. (Sunday PM | 6-7:30)

Student Bible Study: Students meet as a combined group for a time of Bible teaching, bracketed before and after by time to hang out with one another in our Student Center. We study God's word together, and also reconnect with each other & connect with new friends by playing ping-pong, foosball, 4 square, video games, or just chatting over a Snickers and Coke. (Wednesday PM | 6-7:30)

>>>Catalytic Events

Whether it's our CONNECT Weekend, Summer Camp, a Super Bowl party, or a variety of other activities...Catalytic events are moments designed to challenge, encourage, and spur on our students in the gospel of Jesus!

>>>Connected Mission

Constant discipleship and catalytic events are designed to connect us to the mission of God in redeeming the world through Christ. Because of this, we challenge our students to be involved not only in mission to Alexander City, but to the ends of the earth. We want to help students do this by providing regular opportunities adapted to varying maturity levels to plug in, serve, and grow.
